The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Accessibility Fund supports building owners in upgrading existing structures with essential accessibility and Universal Design features. Eligible applicants include building owners, lessors, and lessees with the owner's endorsement.

 

 

The fund covers up to 80% of construction costs for basic accessibility features in pre-1990 buildings lacking such amenities, and up to 60% for Universal Design features in pre-2013 buildings already equipped with accessibility features.

 

Basic features include ramps, accessible entrances, and toilets, while Universal Design features encompass amenities like grab bars, lactation rooms, and hearing enhancement systems.

The venues that have Induction Loops installed are at the Reclining Buddha Hall, Cultural Centre and the Shelter adjacent to the Bodhi Tree.

 

Individuals with Hearing Aids and Cochlear Implants would be able to benefit from the Induction Loop Systems when they switch to their ‘Telecoil’ setting. For those who experience some challenges due to their telecoil setting not being configured or properly set-up, please advise them to consult their respective audiologist for assistance.

Any Student, Teacher, Staff and visitor who are Hearing Impaired and has either Hearing Aids or Cochlear Implants, are able to benefit from the Induction Loop System when they switch to the ‘Telecoil’ setting, especially when Masses are being held.

 

If any individual who visits the Chapel are facing some challenges on their telecoil setting, please advise them to reach out and consult their respective audiologist for assistance.
