Monfort Chapel at Montfort Secondary School

Tucked away amidst the bustling corridors and vibrant classrooms of Montfort Secondary School, lies a serene sanctuary, the Monfort Chapel. This modest yet beautiful chapel serves as a beacon of peace and reflection for students, staff, and visitors alike.

Established in 2023, the Monfort Chapel holds a rich history within the school's community. Named after St. Marie-Louis de Montfort, the chapel embodies his spirit of devotion and service. Its architecture reflects a blend of contemporary design and traditional elements, with stained glass windows casting colourful hues upon the polished wooden pews.

What sets the Monfort Chapel apart is not just its physical beauty, but the sense of tranquillity it offers to all who enter. In the midst of a busy school day, students find solace in its quiet embrace, a refuge from the demands of academic life. Teachers and staff, too, seek moments of respite within its walls, finding renewal and inspiration in moments of prayer and reflection.

The chapel serves as more than just a place of worship; it is a centre for spiritual growth and community bonding. Regular mass services, prayer sessions, and religious activities foster a sense of unity among students of diverse backgrounds, promoting understanding and respect for different faiths.

Moreover, the Monfort Chapel plays a vital role in the holistic education provided by Montfort Secondary School. Through religious education programs and pastoral care initiatives, students are encouraged to cultivate values of compassion, empathy, and integrity, shaping them into responsible global citizens.

As Montfort Secondary School continues to uphold its mission of nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of its students, the Monfort Chapel remains a cornerstone of this endeavour. With its timeless beauty and profound significance, it stands as a testament to the school's commitment to holistic education and the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of life.

The Listening Lab is honoured to have supplied and installed an Induction Loop System in the Chapel itself. Any Student, Teacher, Staff and visitor who are Hearing Impaired and has either Hearing Aids or Cochlear Implants, are able to benefit from the Induction Loop System when they switch to the ‘Telecoil’ setting, especially when Masses are being held.

If any individual who visits the Chapel are facing some challenges on their telecoil setting, please advise them to reach out and consult their respective audiologist for assistance.
